TVS is going to update the RTR 160 4V with some cosmetic upgrades and a BS-6 engine. The new leaked photo shows the changes in the design on the bike.
TVS is going to launch the BS-6 compliant models in India, starting from October this year. With that, it is going to update some models with minor design changes and feature additions as well.
Last week, a photo of the new RTR 200 4V was leaked online and it has also been spied testing. Now, Bikewale has leaked the shots of the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, which also gets some similar changes.
With this update, the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will look more like the RTR 200. The new 4V will get different alloy wheels, revised headlamp design with LED lighting and golden telescopic forks.

Just like the RTR 200, the RTR 160 4V will also get a Bluetooth-connected speedometer, which will come with turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call and message alert and other diagnostics of the motorcycle. For that, the TVS Connect app will be available on your mobile phone.
Talking about the mechanical changes, the engine will be BS-6 compliant, but the power figures remain the same. The 159.7cc oil-cooled mil produces 16.8 BHP and 14.8 Nm of peak torque, with a 5-speed gearbox.
For suspension, it will continue with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. Braking will be handled by front disc brake and rear drum brake/rear disc brake with a single-channel ABS as standard fitment.

The new Apache is expected to demand a small premium over its current starting price of Rs 90,000 going to Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). It competes with the likes of 2019 Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ V3, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and Honda CB Hornet 160R.
