New Tata Safari Seen

The latter is the most successful and popular MPV in the country since time immemorial. In fact, it is quite large in dimensions. But the Safari brings its modern elements to the table lending it an imposing and bold road presence. This could still be a test mule or a demo car since the official launch is just around the corner. The new design at the front includes a prominent grille with a graphic pattern, bumper-mounted LED headlamps and a rugged skid plate.

Interior and Features
The interior of these SUVs boasts a contemporary and tech-savvy design. Depending on the trim you select, there will be various colour combinations available for the upholstery, cabin, and dashboard. Apart from that, there are numerous new features, including a textured dashboard, a spacious 12.3-inch digital infotainment system, a customizable 10.25-inch driver’s instrument cluster, wireless charging, drive and terrain modes, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, a premium 10-speaker JBL sound system, a 6-seat arrangement in the Safari, a powered tailgate, ventilated front seats with memory function, navigation, and more. Essentially, the top variants of both these SUVs cover a wide range of contemporary amenities.

Specs
Both the Harrier and Safari retain the powertrains from their previous models. Consequently, these SUVs still house the familiar 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo diesel engine, offering 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine can be coupled with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a torque converter automatic transmission. Furthermore, they come equipped with terrain response and various drive modes. It’s worth noting that a turbo petrol engine option may be introduced in the future, with pricing details to be revealed at the launch. In the market, the Harrier and Safari face competition from rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Jeep Compass.
