New Tata Nexon EV Gets Design Inspired by Curvv Concept
Just like its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, the new Tata Nexon EV facelift will carry forward the design theme taken from the Curvv concept. This continuity in design is no surprise, as the current Nexon EV looks almost like the outgoing ICE sibling. That said, this time around, Tata Motors is introducing some noteworthy visual distinctions between the Nexon ICE and EV models. One of the most prominent design differentiators between the two versions is the new LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the Nexon.ev. While the ICE Nexon facelift features a split DRL design, the Nexon EV boasts connected design LED DRLs at the front. This not only looks futuristic but even gives the EV a distinct identity.
These new-age LED DRLs on the Nexon.ev come with dynamic functions, adding a touch of sophistication. They emerge from the middle and gracefully flow towards the ends, a feature typically associated with higher-end luxury cars. This dynamic lighting function not only enhances the aesthetics but also elevates the premium feel of the Nexon.ev.

Unchanged Electric Powertrain
Mechanically, the Nexon.ev facelift will remain identical to the current Tata Nexon EV. It will continue to offer two battery pack options: the 30.2 kWh and 40.5 kWh configurations, known as Prime and Max models, respectively. The motor configurations for these models will also remain unchanged. Additionally, the impressive range figures are expected to remain intact – 312 km for the Prime and 453 km for the Max variant.
While the electric powertrain remains the same, the trim lineup will be new. It will be in accordance with that of the ICE sibling. The Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max will be renamed as Nexon EV MR (Medium Range) and Nexon EV LR (Long Range), respectively. This is much like the naming convention of the Tiago EV’s lineup.

Nexon.ev to Offer Feature-Packed Variants
The new Tata Nexon EV will offer a range of feature-packed variants to cater to varied budgets and requirements. The trim levels for both MR and LR models will align with those available for the ICE Nexon facelift – Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless. Additionally, there will be S variants with a sunroof and + variants with optional kits. New features will include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch fully digital and configurable instrument screen, new HVAC controls, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, and ventilated front seats.
Thanks to the additional kit and revamped styling, the 2023 Tata Nexon.ev could continue to reign the electric SUV market for some more time to come. Watch this space for the official unveiling of this electric SUV.
