The widely popular Taarzan The Wonder Car finally has a new owner. The special vehicle has had a rather arduous and challenging journey. It was first showcased in the 2004 Ajay Devgn movie by the same name – Taarzan The Wonder Car. Spoiler alert – in the movie, the car used to be driven by the ghost of its deceased owner played by Ajay Devgn. The vehicle went on a spree of killing the culprits behind the assassination of Ajay Devgn’s character. However, this unique vehicle designed by the famed DC Design specifically for this movie grabbed the attention of the people. In fact, it was on sale at the time for a jaw-dropping Rs 2 Crore and had a powerful 2.0-litre engine from Toyota MR2.
New Owner of Taarzan The Wonder Car
This video comes to us courtesy of bollywoodtours on YouTube. I have reported this special car rotting on the roads of Mumbai for many years. Sporadically, there were reports of some car shops attempting to restore it. However, somehow, it never came to fruition. Lo and behold, the restoration process is eventually complete and the car even has a new owner. The man in this video mentions that it took a lot of time to repair the vehicle to its original glory. But now that it has finally happened, he is ready to rent it out for special occasions.
Even though the price of the car is not mentioned in this video, it was previously reported online that it was being sold for around Rs 8.9 lakh. In all honesty, we can’t confirm the veracity of that claim. In any case, the new owner states that due to its popularity, it would be a great car to offer on rent for special occasions. This includes birthday parties, marriages, other functions and festivities. Anyone could hire it and flaunt it in public. Its exterior appearance will ensure that there is nothing like it out on the road. You will pay for the exclusivity and a bit of history attached to it.
Our View
Now, it has become a business strategy to create one-of-a-kind vehicles and rent them out to people on their special occasions. In fact, I have seen numerous instances of people creating cheap replicas of supercars and renting them for single or multiple days. Common folks get a chance to drive something which looks similar to their dream car at an almost negligible price. Hence, I understand the motive of this new owner of the Taarzan The Wonder Car to purchase this car. We shall have to wait to see how well people respond to this.
