The Ola S1 series of electric scooters have certainly revolutions the two-wheeler market. Thanks to factors such as those of low running cost, modern features and affordability, the S1 has become the default choice of many. In fact, the launch of the S1 Air has helped the manufacturer with a deeper market penetration. However, akin to the S1 Pro, the S1 Air has been facing various quality control issues. In the latest case, an Ola S1 Air owner is left helpless as his scooter breaks down in just 125 kms of use.

Ola S1 Air Breaks Down Soon After Purchase
This case comes from Kerala. The owner of the broken down Ola S1 Air owner has shared his story of their scooter’s unreliability in a video. As per the owner, the scooter malfunctioned within 125 kms of ownership. The problem took place as he switched off the scooter after a ride. On trying to restart the scooter, he found that the vehicle has become unresponsive. His scooter was collected by the service staff, which took 12 days to return it in working condition. However, the issue resurfaced soon. The owner took a video of the problem right in front of the towing vehicle to emphasise his plight.

Not the First Such Case
To make matters worse, this is not the first such case. Many more owners of the S1 Air have reported such glitches. One owner even reported of a sudden acceleration that led to a major accident. Thankfully, the rider was saved by his helmet. However, he has made a video that shows several owners reporting various issues. One owner talks about having to replace the faulty motor within 10 days of purchase. While all such claims can’t be verified, there are several other owners who have come up with similar concerns.

An owner of Ola S1 Pro that is just 400 km old was left stranded as his scooter failed to start. The issue resurfaced even after the entire wire harness was replaced by the service staff. Yet another customer of Ola S1 Air reports that his scooter won’t switch on and even won’t charge. Most of these issues have surfaced soon after the purchase. In fact, in the above case, the scooter started acting up with a few hours of purchase.

Another owner shares that his scooter was inoperable for more than 15 days. While the scooter’s display indicated the need to restart the vehicle, the problem persisted even after several restarts.
