Nissan has updated the Magnite for the model year 2024 with some interesting changes while keeping the price of the base variant the same
This latest post showcases the comparison between the new Nissan Magnite and the old model. Magnite has been the sole volume churner for Nissan for the longest time. Thankfully, people have liked it a lot not just in India, but overseas as well. As a result, the Japanese auto giant even exports it to many international markets. That will be the case with the new model too. India serves as the base for exports to the right-hand and left-hand drive markets. For now, let us take a look at the details of the differences between the new and the old model.

New Nissan Magnite New vs Old Base Model Comparison
The details of this case emerge from MR Cars on YouTube. The vlogger has the two base models side by side. There is a slight modification at the front with the grille and bumper sections. On the sides, the new Magnite gets chunky door handles which elevate the premium feel. Apart from that, the side profile of both models remains largely the same in terms of side pillars, steel wheels and roof rails. At the rear, there are not any changes as both versions get a roof-mounted spoiler, sharp taillamps and a sporty bumper.
On the inside, the first thing to notice is the 60:40 split for the rear row. Apart from that, the dashboard layout, AC vents design, central console, and steering wheel remain unchanged in the new model. However, the main difference lies in the door panels. In the old model, a large part of the door panel consisted of fabric and plastic. On the other hand, the new version gets soft-touch materials for the major part of the door panel. Not just that, the new model offers 6 airbags while the old one has 2. Apart from that, the new version gets ISOFIX child seat mounts and a rear armrest, both of which were missing in the outgoing variant. Despite these additions, the price of the base model remains Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom, similar to the previous model.
Specs
One area which remains absolutely similar to the old version is what lies under the hood. This means that buyers will experience the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with and without a turbocharger. The power and torque outputs range from 71 hp / 96 Nm to 99 hp / 152 Nm (160 Nm with CVT), respectively. Performing the transmission duties is a 5-speed manual and an AMT or CVT automatic gearbox option. The Japanese auto giant claims a mileage of 20 km/l with the manual and 17.4 km/l with the CVT automatic. The prices range from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
