Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi are the three most common brands which luxury car lovers go for but there is one more brand which equally potent and luring and is considered by people who want to own something distinct. We are talking about Jaguar, one of the oldest British automaker, presently owned by Tata.
Tata has already planned to launch the Range Rover Evoque( whose first lot is all booked in advance) on 4th of November 2011. The interesting news concerned with JLR is that it is said to launch a facelift model of the very popular Jaguar XF sedan by the third week of November. This way we will witness two important launches by the group in a span of 3 weeks which is quite exciting.

The mid term makeover of the car brings along a couple of design as well as technical changes. On the design front, the new model is slightly more sharp and curvy at the same time to attain the extreme levels of attraction but overall its all the same. The only noticeable changes on the exterior are a more pronounced hood and LED daytime running light strip in headlamps. On the rear the car gets a slimmer chrome strip and wider LED tail lamps.

Under the hood the model to be launched in India is supposed to get a new 2.2 Liter CRDI diesel engine, though not confirmed. The same unit is capable of developing maximum power and torque outputs of 188 BHP and 450 Nm respectively. Surprisingly this very diesel addition delivers an outstanding 19 KMPL of mileage.

As of now other than the speculated new 2.2 Liter diesel engine the rest of the engine line-up will remain the same. This includes a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine, a naturally aspirated 5 liter V8 petrol engine and a supercharged 5 liter V8 petrol. Now it would be interesting to see what happens next month and whether the new diesel engine arrives here or not.
Jaguar XF 2011 New Model Price In India
Pricing wise the car is again expected to lie in the price band of Rs.50 – Rs. 60 Lakhs.
