Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 New Model 2011 Launched At Rs. 1.07 Lakhs, more
Yamaha has been keeping the new 2011 Yamaha R15 under the covers until the launch (which is likely to happen soon). There have been many test mules spotted on the road under camouflage and covers. There have been numerous spy pictures from various sources is past few months. This time, a close up from the rear near the tail pipe has been shared on the Facebook by a fan “Ramakrishnan”. The exhaust muffler of the new R15 clearly shows a R15 badge of copper-golden colour attached to the side of the exhaust.
Some of the highlights of the new model of R15 include:
- Improved Styling
- New Design Alloy Wheels
- New rear design with tyre hugger
- R15 Badge on Exhaust
- Improved Faring
- Wider Tyres
- Other cosmetic uplifts
- Engine tuning improvements
The new Yamaha R15 is expected to be officially launched in year 2011 only. The launch is most likely to be schedules around the festival season in October 2011, this is our speculation on the basis that if Yamaha wants to launch a new product, two most important periods can be:
- Festival Season around Diwali (October 2011)
- Auto Expo 2012 in January 2012
Since this bike is almost ready and testing is on, we expect to see the launch near the festival season, however there is no official announcement on expected launch period.
