Our View
The new Maruti Swift is definitely off to a strong start. It not only becomes the top-selling vehicle from Maruti Suzuki but even manages to outsell the Tata Punch. This, even wgen SUVs are becoming more popular by the day. In its first month, the Swift did really well. However, we’ll have to see if it can stay the top seller in the next few months. Many people still choose hatchbacks because they are tried-and-tested and practical. Micro-SUVs, on the other hand, are just hatchbacks with a higher ground clearance. Most of them don’t have other SUV features. The Swift’s strong sales are also because of its brand name. People have trusted the Swift for almost 20 years. This trust in its reliability and quality has helped it succeed.
