Maruti Grand Vitara Spotted Revealing Details
The pic highlights the front and tail section of the heavily camouflaged SUV. At the front, the dual-LED DRLs are visible which is what we have seen on the Hyryder as well. It will double up as the turn indicators. From various design cues, it looks like a lower trim. The IRVMs are manual, there is no 360-degree camera and the rear windshield doesn’t have a wiper. The front grille section looks quite broad like we have seen on the Hyryder. The stop lamps at the rear have been placed vertically on the bumper along with the turn indicators reminding us of the same pattern on the Hyryder.

Specs
It could be safe to infer that the powertrain options will be identical to the Hyryder. This means that there will be 2 hybrid petrol engines. The mild-hybrid will be a Maruti-sourced 4-cylinder 1.5-litre K-Series engine that will output 102 hp and 137 Nm of peak torque and come with an AWD drivetrain, while the strong hybrid will have a 3-cylinder 1.5-litre engine from Toyota with an electric motor and a Li-Ion battery pack that will develop a combined power of 116 hp.

The mild-hybrid version will come mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, whereas the strong hybrid will have an e-Drive automatic transmission only. The main reason for opting for the full-hybrid version would be its great fuel efficiency since it will be capable of driving on pure electric power for short distances. However, the details about that are yet to be announced by either Toyota or Maruti. We could expect the price bracket of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom and the launch around the festive season.
