The new Maruti Ertiga will get Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform. The engine specification of this MPV will remain the same. That said, the lighter frame will help in increasing the fuel efficiency.
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new Ertiga in India. According to a report published in Autocarindia, Maruti will debut the new Ertiga during the month of August this year. The new Maruti Ertiga will get an all-new design. It is going to use the same HEARTECT platform which we see on all latest Maruti cars.
The new Maruti Ertiga’s engine specifications will remain the same as before. The petrol derivative is going to get the 1.4-litre K Series engine. The diesel derivative, on the other hand, will feature the 1.3-litre DDiS oil-burner. The MPV will come in both manual and automatic guises. A 5-speed manual transmission is to come as standard. While certain variants are going to get Maruti’s 5-Speed AGs unit.

Because of its lighter underpinnings, the new Maruti Ertiga will have better fuel efficiency figures. Also, since the MPV will have to meet the latest safety norms, it will have Dual airbags and ABS as standard.
in terms of its design, the new Ertiga will have its own unique aesthetics. That said, just like before, the front profile might resemble the Swift in some ways. Nevertheless, the latest iteration of this MPV will look quite stylish and up-market.

Exteriors feature are likely to include the projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights along with LED tail-lamps. To add a premium touch, the 2018 Ertiga will get several chrome highlights.
The cabin of the 2018 Ertiga is likely to get the same design as we see on the Dzire and Swift. The material quality is bound to improve along with the vehicle’s feature list. The new Ertiga will come with features like touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control to name a few.

Talking about the prices, the new Maruti Ertiga will cost roughly the same as before. The base variant of the 2018 Ertiga is likely to retail around the mark of INR 6.5 Lakh. The top-end diesel version will cost close to INR 10.5 Lakh. The new Ertiga will compete in the compact MPV segment.
