Weird and ‘desi’ ways of testing the build quality of popular cars continue on YouTube and the latest product to fall victim to this technique is the 2022 Maruti Brezza.
A YouTuber tests the build quality of the recently launched 2022 Maruti Brezza by banging the doors and knocking on the body. In fairness, he mentions that this is a ‘desi’ way to test the toughness and strength of the cars until the official GNCAP test is organised. Brezza is a compact SUV that has ruled the sales charts for years and this updated version aims to achieve just that yet again. However, the competition in the segment is at an all-time high.

Maruti Brezza Build Quality ‘Tested’ By Banging Doors
In this video, the famous YouTuber reviews the new Brezza at the dealership. He is seen shutting the doors of the Brezza multiple times in order to feel that solid thud that one originally associated with certain American and German cars. It is a minor indication of the build of a car and how well it has been put together. Tata Motors also offer that sense of a tough build in its products which feature that reassuring thud while shutting the doors. Hence, the technique of banging the body parts and testing the doors is not all that illogical. However, the real GNCAP tests are evidently much more comprehensive than that.

In inference, these methods give a very rudimentary understanding of the toughness and strength of a vehicle and should not be treated as a substitute for the real test. The last-gen Brezza scored a respectable 4-star at the GNCAP. We will have to wait until the GNCAP decides to test this version of the compact SUV.
