New Mahindra Scorpio 2020 sits on an updated chassis along and gets fresh exteriors and interiors
Mahindra Scorpio has already made a name for itself but the new gen 2020 Scorpio will be more pleasant looking and have an updated chassis, engine and add more features to the list.
Earlier we reported the spy shots of the new Scorpio, but now the fresh images are here and the SUV looks more visible than before. For starters, the car looks huge on road and is taller and more imposing than the on-going model. It now packs a seven-slate grille and retains the design of boxy headlamps.
The lower bumper of the car will sport fog lights and the SUV gets a more upright grille and an upright nose keeping in mind the pedestrian safety norms which will come into effect from October 1, 2020.

Although the design of the car is heavily camouflaged, we can expect the SUV will pack sharper lines and angles on the sides. The doors look longer which means longer wheelbase than the current model. Hence, roomier cabin for the passengers sitting inside the car can be expected.
Moving on to the rear profile of the car, it has been restyled to give a fresh look. Scorpio will continue using the tail-gate which opens to one side and placed in between the vertically placed tail-lights. Yes, the tail lights appear to be smaller in size considering the size of the SUV and has tweaked rear bumpers too.
If reports are to be believed, then like the exteriors and updated chassis, the interiors will completely be revamped and see new dashboard design, multi-function steering wheel and most importantly, front-facing third-row seats for all variants.
New Scorpio will be powered by a BS-VI compliance 2.0-litre, turbocharged mHawk diesel engine which will produce around 160bhp. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an automatic transmission is also expected.
