New Scorpio Spotted Next To Ford Endeavour
As per the visuals, the size of the Scorpio is comparable to the full-size SUV, the Endeavour. The video states that this fleet of SUVs is seen somewhere near Pune where Mahindra’s manufacturing facility is located. The dimensions of the Scorpio seem to have increased and it looks almost similar to the Endeavour that is parked alongside. This indicates the enhancements done to the new Scorpio. In addition to that, the front-end features a massive grille and sleek headlamps. The LED DRLs have a dual C-shaped pattern indicating a modern approach. The side profile wears the typical chrome belt around the windows and functional roof rails. The third quarter profile looks inspired by the former XUV500.
Specs
While the official specifications will be revealed closer to the launch, the Scorpio is expected to come powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that might be tuned to produce 130 hp and a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine that produces 150 hp. These engines are similar to the ones powering the new Thar. The transmission duties would be carried by a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The current prices of the Scorpio range between Rs 13.18 lakh and Rs 18.21 lakh, ex-showroom. The new version will most likely feature a slight premium over these prices.
