The facelift Kia Seltos has just had its world premiere in India and we compare it with the old model to highlight the changes. This includes expected prices, specs and features. Seltos is the torchbearer for the Korean auto giant when it comes to its unprecedented success in the Indian market. Hence, it is crucial that it is kept fresh so that it continues to rake in huge volumes for the brand. Note that this facelift model has already been launched in many international markets a while ago. But the Indian customers will also now get to experience it. The bookings open on July 14, 2023. Existing Kia Seltos owner can grant a K-Code from the Kia App or website that could be used by new Seltos buyers to get access to priority delivery. The old model was priced from Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh, ex-showroom. The prices of the petrol trims ranged from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 15.90 lakh while the diesel mill retailed between Rs 12.39 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh, ex-showroom. For the turbo petrol version, we can expect a premium of around Rs 1.85 lakh compared to the non-turbo petrol variant. Note that we have taken this number from the difference between the prices of the Verna SX trim in turbo and non-turbo petrol trims. Since both these engines will be the same in Seltos, we reckon this is an accurate assumption. Therefore, depending on the variant, the different could easily be around Rs 1.85 lakh for the manual and Rs 3 lakh for the DCT compare to the regular trim. We shall update the prices as soon as they are available.

The previous generation model used to come with just the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.4-litre was recently discontinued due to the stricter emission norms. The power and torque figures were similar to the new model. The same configuration is carried over to the new model as well.
