The new Kia Seltos crashes at high speed in a first accident. Seltos is a mid-size SUV which is among the top-selling products in its category. Being the cousin of Hyundai Creta, it borrows a lot of elements from it. This includes the platform, engines, transmissions, etc. However, Kia had recently upgraded the Seltos with a thorough facelift. This has to be the first reported crash of the facelift model. New Kia Seltos Crashes
This video comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during undesirable situations, as well as road safety. This time around, a case has emerged from Jabalpur, Maharashtra. As per the information in the video, two people were travelling in their Seltos at night. For some reason, the driver lost control and ended up hitting the advertisement pole in the middle of the road. Some people say that the SUV was over the speed limit. The damage is clearly visible in the visuals.

The front section of the mid-size SUV has sustained moderately heavy damage. This includes deformation of the bonnet, fender, bumper, radiator grille, headlights, etc. Essentially, the entire front fascia is impacted. Thankfully, the impact was absorbed by the side pillars quite well. The windshield is also broken which could be due to the driver hitting it. The reason for the crash is not clear. In any case, both passengers were able to escape without any major injuries. While this is not enough to prove anything, it is still a decent performance by the Seltos.
