New Jeep Wrangler has been spotted tested for some time now and this time its the 3-door Wrangler which will be called Rubicon.
The spy shots of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler have been doing the rounds with Unlimited and Sahara trim spotted multiple times. The new spy shot is of Jeep Wrangler Rubicon which was tested by ARAI. It will be a 3-door off-road SUV.
The name Rubicon comes from the Rubicon trail in California, USA. The trail is a 22-mile long path and is one of the most challenging off-roading routes in the country. 2019 Jeep Wrangler will be launched in India with three variants, Unlimited, Sahara and Rubicon.
Jeep continues to stick to its DNA of boxy structure but at the front it does gets new LED Headlamps and taillamps, restyled bumpers and new alloy wheels. Decals of Rubicon can be seen on the tires and hood of the car.

The interiors images have not been spied yet but we can expect a touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,
dual-zone climate control and LCD instrument cluster which are seen globally.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon gets additional 4×4 features than its other trims like front and rear locking differentials, front sway bar disconnect system and Rock Trac 4×4 system.
The rugged body of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is what it makes it a true blue off-road SUV. The ground clearance of the car is now 275mm with water-wading depth at 762mm. The SUV gets an approaching angle of 44 degrees, break-over and departing angle are 27.8 degree and 37 degrees respectively.

In the global market, Jeep Wrangler is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. A 3.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor which produces 284 bhp with a healthy torque of 347 Nm of torque. It gets mated to 6-speed manual gearbox.
The turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol motor churns out 271 bhp with 400 Nm of peak torque and gets mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. India spec model could see a 2.2L Multijet II diesel engine which produces 199 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed AT.
Jeep Compass is their most popular car from the lot and it the company is gearing up for the launch of all-new Jeep Compass Trailhawk which will be the quite the off-roader in its segment.
The prices for the new Jeep Wrangler are expected to start from Rs 58.30 lakh for the base variant to Rs 67.61 for the top-end variant.
