The Tata Punch facelift is about to launch in our market soon. As is the custom, the digital artists have started coming up with enticing virtual renditions of the micro SUV. While there are no clear indications from the carmaker regarding the design updates, we can expect the facelift model to resemble the existing unit. That is the case with almost every vehicle. There are only minor aesthetic alterations, in addition to some interior enhancements to improve the car. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest illustration.
Tata Punch Facelift
This video comes from the MotorBerg channel on YouTube. It showcases a rather interesting possibility of how the upcoming Tata Punch facelift could look like. At the rear, the design is almost similar to the existing trim. However, this virtual concept gets a connected LED taillamp setup. This is something we have seen in many modern cars. Apart from that, this version even gets a redesigned rear bumper, roof-mounted spoiler, rear washer and wiper and a tri-arrow pattern on the extreme edges of the bumper. The side profile remains largely identical to the current model.
It gets a creaseless side panel but the square wheel arches accentuate the sportiness of the vehicle. Also, the rugged side body cladding looks sporty. The rear door handle is mounted on the C-pillar, another common trait of modern cars. Apart from that, this digital avatar even has a black roof, lending it a dual-tone appearance. Finally, the black side pillars make it look like a floating roof. While the front fascia is not visible, it will certainly bear some minor changes to the appearance to make it look different from the current model. Similarly, the overall cabin layout will be similar to the existing model and there might be some additions to the features list.
Our View
Tata Punch has been one of the most successful vehicles in our country since its inception. People love it for the safety, butch looks, compact dimensions and the option of multiple powertrains including an electric avatar. That is why it has stayed high on the monthly sales charts for a long time. However, there has not been a facelift of the Tata Punch since 2021. Hence, it is about time that the Indian auto giant brings an updated Punch to keep the product fresh and the customers excited. For concrete details, we shall have to wait a bit longer.
