The new 2017 Hyundai Verna will be a more premium product than the current model. It features many new features and is likely to come across as a fairly more modern car. Also, the upcoming Hyundai sedan is longer than its predecessor by a fair margin. The engines, however, will be carried over from the outgoing model. This means in India, the new 2017 Hyundai Verna will get 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre Petrol and Diesel engines. It’s not sure at the moment but Hyundai might even launch the new Verna with a mild-hybrid technology in the 1.6 Diesel engine variant.
The Hyundai Verna was launched in India back in 2006. The complete model replacement, i.e. the current generation model, was then launched in 2011. It even got a minor facelift in 2015. The Verna ruled its segments for a considerably long time, until it started losing out to the likes of Maruti Ciaz and Honda City. The new 2017 model Verna, however, should help Hyundai reclaim the lost ground.

The new Hyundai Verna 2017 could command a considerable premium over the current car. However, the higher price tag will be most likely justified by a longer features list, more modern design and bigger dimensions.
