The new Hyundai Sonata is the new Police car in South Korea. We know that South Korea is the native market of the Hyundai Motor Group. We see the new editions of its global products here first. This Sonata finds itself in the 8th generation. That is a testament to the sheer iconic status it has achieved over numerous years. In fact, it is quite a prominent product in the international markets too. The low-slung sedan highlights the company’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy. Hyundai Sonata Police Car
These images come from motorsjason on Instagram. There are appropriate body graphics indicating that this is a Police car. Apart from that, there are prominent elements including a large lights setup on the roof along with what looks like a microphone and camera. These are common in many police car models across the globe. There are not many design changes to this model. This still offers a sleek LED light bar which runs the width of the fascia of the sedan. Apart from that, there are attractive alloy wheels, a sporty bumper, a low-slung stance, LED headlamps on the bumper, and an appealing stance at the rear. All in all, it carries all the attractions the regular model offers.

Interior and Features
There are a few images of the inside as well. This includes a premium and opulent design for the air-con vents which are now co-centric circles and an addition of a blingy component in front of it. Apart from that, there is a large 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch driver’s instrument cluster, a 12-inch heads-up display, automatic climate control, high-end materials on the dashboard, heated and ventilated seats, ADAS, and more. Being a Hyundai, we know that it will be packed with features to the brim. We are not sure about the Police-specific modifications to this model.

Specs
In the South Korean market, the buyers get the option to choose from either a 2.0-litre petrol, a 1.6-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre hybrid engine. The hybrid variant generates a decent 152 PS and 188 Nm of peak power and torque. The 2.0-litre petrol makes 160 PS and 196 Nm, while the 1.6-litre turbo petrol generates a decent 180 PS. There are multiple powertrain options including a 6-speed automatic, as well as an 8-speed automatic transmission. The prices start from 28.08 million won for the N-Line model and 31.87 million won for the Hybrid.
