Hyundai Creta Sales Performance
The total sales of the mid-size SUV since inception stands at a whopping 838,297 units. Out of these, 467,030 units belong to the last-gen model which was sold until 2020. Thereafter, the current 2nd-gen model has been doing exceptionally well. The current iteration has sold a whopping 371,267 units between March 2020 and January 2023 in spite of the auto industry suffering during the pandemic phase. This goes on to prove the high appeal of the SUV among Indian car buyers.
New Safety Features
In spite of the segment-leading sale, Hyundai has been regular with updating its top-seller to improve the already fantastic package. Recently, the carmaker enhanced the Creta’s safety quotient by adding a handful of new safety features as standard fitment across the variants. These include a full quota of 6 Airbags, Rear Disc Brakes, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Seatbelt Height Adjustment and ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorage.

Powertrains
In an era where most carmakers are refraining from offering diesel engine options, the best-selling SUV of India has been available with both petrol and diesel options. The former offers a smooth and refined performance with a healthy 115 PS and 144 Nm on tap. Meanwhile, the 115 PS-250 Nm oil-burner, in a manner typical of CRDi motors, is a strong performer whilst offering stellar fuel efficiency. It’s even more important to mention here that this SUV already comes with RDE (Real Driving Emissions) and E20-ready powertrains ahead of the enforcement of the stricter compliance. This goes on to Hyundai’s commitment towards curbing tailpipe emissions while ensuring class-leading performance.
