Hyundai IONIQ 5
One of the most important models among the new Hyundai cars at Auto Expo 2023 will be the IONIQ 5. It has received tons of accolades already in the international market including the World Car of the Year 2022. But Hyundai is yet to launch it in the Indian market. But now, the path is clear and we will soon have it here as well. The Ioniq 5 comes with two battery options; a standard 58 kWh and a long-range 72.6 kWh battery. These could be combined with single or dual electric motor setups to offer two-wheel or four-wheel-drive. The power and torque outputs range from 170 PS / 350 Nm to 305 PS / 605 Nm depending on the powertrain option one chooses.

The other EV on display will be the IONIQ 6. It is an electric sedan which Hyundai has designed keeping in mind the retro and timeless theme. We don’t know which specifications will it come with but Hyundai has announced a sole dual-motor AWD version powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack. It will be based on Hyundai’s dedicated E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform). Hyundai is calling it an “Electric Streamliner”.

Hyundai NEXO FCEV
Offering a glimpse at the carmaker’s future mobility solutions, the new Hyundai cars at Auto Expo 2023 will even include the hydrogen-powered NEXO FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle). It is a one-of-a-kind SUV that is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. The work on this technology is not as widely prevalent as the regular electric vehicles powered by Lithium-ion batteries. But hydrogen is certainly a viable option when it comes to eco-friendly mobility. Let us see how much longer will take for the technology to get developed around it to make it a mass-market and large-volume fuel source.

Hyundai Creta Facelift
The most popular product from Hyundai in India is the mid-size Creta SUV. In fact, it is the only SUV from its segment to consistently feature on the list of top 10 selling cars month after month. The facelift version has already been launched in other international markets. Like with every facelift, there will only be aesthetic updates to the mid-size SUV and we expect the powertrain options to remain the same.

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna
One of the most important models among the new Hyundai cars at Auto Expo 2023 will be the next-gen Verna mid-size sedan. Verna has done great business for the Korean carmaker in our market for years now. With stiff competition from the likes of Honda City and the newcomers – VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia, things are heating up. Hence, the next-gen Verna will come with a ton of design tweaks but will probably carry the same powertrain lineup as the current model.
