Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the new Honda Hornet 2.0 2023. The new model is available starting Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It boasts an array of enhancements including design updates, new features, and engine upgrades. In a nutshell, the Hornet 2.0 features an OBD2-compliant engine, a new headlight, and a fully digital LCD instrument panel.

Honda Hornet 2.0 – Design & Features
Distinguished by its fresh design, the new Honda Hornet 2.0 stands apart from its predecessor. Notable design elements include new LED headlights, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp body panels, and dynamic graphics. The motorcycle now comes with Upside-down (USD) front fork for improved dynamics. Other highlights include a mono-shock rear suspension, ten-spoke alloy wheels, and a split seat configuration. The motorcycle is equipped with disc brakes on both ends, complemented by single-channel ABS. The LCD instrumentation offers five-level illumination control. It displays a clock, twin trip meters, speedometer, gear position indicator, odometer, tachometer, battery voltage meter, and service due indicator. All the lighting fixtures are LEDs.
Specifications
Powering the 2023 Hornet 2.0 is a 184.40 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder PGM-FI engine. It complies with stringent BSVI OBD2 standards. The motor outputs 17 bhp of power and 15.9 Nm of peak torque. The engine features multiple sensors to monitor component performance. Any potential malfunction triggers a warning light on the instrument panel. The powerplant is coupled with a five-speed gearbox that works in tandem with an assist and slipper clutch. This facilitates smooth downshifts, prevents rear wheel lock-ups during deceleration, and enhances upshifting ease.

Honda Hornet 2.0 – Pricing and Rivals
The 2023 Honda Hornet 2.0 comes with a sticker price of Rs. 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle finds itself in direct competition with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, both available at Rs. 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
