New Generation Maruti Swift
This latest post comes from Anurag Choudhary on YouTube. It captures the exterior styling of the new Swift quite vividly. At the front, it gets almost a similar silhouette to the existing model. However, the headlamp cluster is slightly tweaked. Additionally, there are LED DRLs integrated inside the headlamp unit. The front grille looks broad and the bumper has been redesigned too. There is a hint of a skid plate to accentuate its sportiness but the fog lamps are missing. On the sides, there are attractive new alloy wheels, black side pillars with chrome belt and a similar side profile to the current model. At the rear, the design of the LED taillamps is refreshed but the bootlid and bumper appearance is almost unchanged. All in all, there won’t be too many radical modifications to the upcoming Swift.

Interior and Features
The case with the interior and cabin is slightly different. There are tons of modern changes in terms of the dashboard layout and door panels. That will set it apart from the current generation model. For the Indian-spec model, we expect it to borrow certain elements from the Baleno premium hatchback. Apart from that, it will likely get a semi-digital instrument cluster, a free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, a textured dashboard pattern, a sleek centre console with automatic climate control settings, tons of storage spaces, D-cut steering wheel with multimedia controls, connected car tech features and more. It will bear the latest tech and convenience features to pamper its occupants.

Specs
A significant change is on the horizon as a new engine is being introduced, departing from the usual K Series engine found in the Swift and other Maruti cars. The upcoming Z Series engine comes in different versions, and the one unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show is a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder hybrid engine, promising an impressive mileage of around 30-35 km/l. While the power remains similar to the current model, there’s a noticeable increase in torque, resulting in a more thrilling performance at lower speeds. However, due to cost considerations, we don’t expect this engine to feature in the Indian version. Instead, we might see the new Z-Series engine with mild hybrid technology.
