New Generation Maruti Dzire Spotted in Phoenix Red Colour – Beige Interior Option Leaked

The upcoming compact sedan has commenced reaching dealerships ahead of the official launch

The soon-to-be-launched Maruti Dzire has been spotted sans camo in the Phoenix Red colour theme. Dzire is a legendary product in our market. It has been around for close to 18 years in the market. It finds application among private, as well as fleet operators. This makes it immensely popular which is why its sales numbers are through the roof. Even after close to 2 decades of being on sale, it continues to remain in the first half of the table denoting the highest-selling cars in India. For now, let us take a look at the details of this instance.

The specifics of this case stem from Anurag Choudhary on YouTube. The visuals capture the new compact sedan without any camouflage in a parking lot. Hence, we are able to get a clear glimpse of the vehicle. Looking at the current lineup, this looks like the same colour as the Phoenix Red. Therefore, it is confirmed that the new Dzire will continue to be offered in this paint. Apart from that, the video clip even confirms that the sedan will have a beige interior theme for the cabin as well. This looks premium, especially with the faux wood inserts on the dashboard. Clearly, the aim is to offer a slightly more premium ambience to the occupants in comparison to the Swift.

There have been many spy shots on the interior of the new Dzire. While a lot of elements will be taken from the Swift itself, the Dzire will get unique amenities like the electric sunroof. That is something the buyers will appreciate. Going by the leaked visuals, the cabin will include a flat-bottom steering wheel with multimedia controls, semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-tone dashboard, a free-standing infotainment display, textured door panels, new toggle switches to operate HVAC, an electric sunroof, smartphone connectivity, premium audio system, wireless charging, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, rear AC vents, USB ports, rear armrest with cup holders, etc.

Specs

We already know that the Maruti Dzire will share the powertrain and transmission options with the Swift. This means that it will get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol mill which will churn out 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque (in Swift). Performing the transmission duties will either be a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic gearbox. In Swift, the mileage figures are 24.8 km/l with the manual and 25.75 km/l with the automatic. Since the Dzire will be slightly heavier than the Swift, there could be a minor decrease in these numbers. More details will emerge at the launch.
