As per these images, the front fascia of the SUV offers a chunky grille with vertical slats finished in chrome, the new Mahindra badge at the centre, integrated projector headlamps in the grille, front parking sensors, stylish fog lamps on either side of the bumper, aluminium skid plate which give a muscular appearance to the SUV. The rear also features some modern design elements. This include LED taillamps with a unique pattern along with a chrome bar and glass slab connecting the two taillamps across the width of the boot lid. There is a roof-mounted integrated spoiler along with a stoplight. Quite honestly, the image of the rear makes it look like an MPV. But we will have to wait and watch how the actual design is going to be like.

Specs
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio will likely get a 2.2-litre diesel engine making 132 hp and a 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo petrol (from the Mahindra’s own mStallion family), making a decent 152 hp. It will come with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission options for both engines. There might well be the option of a 4×4 drive system as well. As such, Scorpio doesn’t have any direct rival considering the audiences it caters to. However, it still falls under the category of the mid-size SUV segment that is more inclined towards practicality and utility than luxury. The expected launch might be quite soon.
