The next-gen Hyundai Tucson has started reaching dealerships in Nepal, which means its India-launch couldn’t be far away. The new model carries the company’s global design language along with several other updates
The Hyundai Tucson is a premium mid-size SUV. It promises many premium features to compete with the likes of Jeep Compass and VW Tiguan. Recently, there has been an increased interest in this segment. The Hyundai Tucson was the original premium mid-size SUV in the country. Now, it looks like a new model of the SUV will try to entice Indian customers. After a recent spotting on the flatbed with Nagaland registration, the Hyundai Tucson has now reached the company dealerships in Nepal. The same has been revealed by new images of the vehicle parked with the Venue. Let us check out what Creta’s bigger sibling is bringing.

As you can see in the images, the next-gen Hyundai Tucson features a unique pattern for the grille that integrates the LED headlamps on either side. While LED DRLs are in the grille pattern, the fog lamps are placed on the side of the bumper. The rear end also looks quite stylish as it uses angular LED taillamps and an LED light strip. Additional features include a sporty skid plate, an integrated roof spoiler, roof rails, and stylish alloy wheels with a unique design. Overall, the White Hyundai Tucson features a stylish and sporty look. The design language of the new car uses a 3D emboss pattern all-around (including the bumper and the sides).

The Hyundai Tucson comes with features like rain-sensing wipers, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, LED headlights and tail lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, and an electric parking brake. There is also an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety features on the car include up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, and ABS with EBD.

The mid-size SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine that offers 152 PS and 192 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the 2.0-liter diesel engine outputs 185 PS and 400 Nm of peak torque. It comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. In India, the Hyundai Tucson is currently priced between Rs 22.69 lakh – Rs 27.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming model is expected to come with a higher price tag. It will face off with the likes of MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Citroen C5 Aircross, and the VW Tiguan.
