The international markets are still getting the latest version of the Ford Endeavour which was among the most popular 7-seat SUVs in our market for years.
This is an instance where the last-gen Ford Endeavour is seen parked alongside the new-gen model and the road presence is compared. As we all know, Ford quit manufacturing cars in India in September 2021. But the loyal Ford fans are hoping that the American carmaker comes back to our market. Nevertheless, the international markets have been receiving the latest Ford Endeavour (Everest) which makes us want to compare it to our Endy.

New-Gen vs Old Ford Endeavour – Dimensions Comparison
This image has been shared by endeavourlovers on Instagram. In its latest iteration, the Endeavour looks much more rugged and appealing with massive C-shaped LED DRLs and LED headlights, dual chrome slabs on the grille, sturdy front bumper and skid plate compare to the old model. The bonnet and the front fascia of the new Endy certainly look more assertive and something that Ford lovers would prefer. In terms of dimensions, however, there is little to differentiate the two. The new version is slightly larger than the old one and has a 50 mm longer wheelbase.
Dimensions | New Endeavour | Old Endeavour |
Length | 4904 mm | 4903 mm |
Width | 2201 mm (w/ side mirrors) | 1869 mm |
Height | 1884 mm | 1837 mm |

Specs Comparison
In terms of the specifications, the international model comes with a variety of options. The Indian version used to come with a single powertrain only. For this comparison, we are taking into consideration the Vietnamese model. There are a ton of other powertrains for the Endy depending on the market it is sold in. On the other hand, the India-spec last-get Endeavour came with a 2.0-litre diesel mill that offered 175 hp and 420 Nm. This is higher than the single-turbo version of the new model but significantly lower than the dual-turbo version of the new SUV. In both the cases, a 10-speed automatic transmission is on offer.
Specs | New Endeavour | Old Endeavour |
Engine | 2.0-litre Single / Dual Turbo Diesel | 2.0-litre Diesel |
Power | 168 hp / 207 hp | 175 hp |
Torque | 405 Nm / 500 Nm | 420 Nm |

While we could certainly witness the changes made to the new model, there are no chances of Ford bringing it to India via the CBU because that will shoot the prices up astronomically. We must understand that Ford is still operational in India and will continue to operate using imported products. But mass manufacturing has been stopped. Therefore, we could expect some niche products from American carmakers in the time to come. How did you like the road presence of the new-gen Ford Endeavour compared to the old model?
