While we don’t have Endeavour in India anymore, it is still a prominent product in the international market from where we keep getting updates.
In this video, a popular Indian automobile YouTuber test drives the Ford Endeavour and compares it to the Toyota Fortuner. Last year, Ford quit manufacturing cars in India. That is when the competition in the 7-seat full-size SUV segment in our market ceased and the market share was overwhelmingly grabbed by Toyota. They launched numerous versions of the Fortuner to cater to a wide range of audiences. Let us see what Endeavour looks like in the international market.

Ford Endeavour Better Than Toyota Fortuner?
The video has been uploaded by Faizal Khan. In this video, we find him in Thailand. He contacted the Ford dealership and got the Endy for a test run around the city. He is thoroughly impressed by the smoothness of the SUV. The latest 2022 version of the Endeavour comes powered by a variety of engine options in the international market. However, the quality of interiors, latest tech features, bold exterior styling and off-roading capabilities are as impressive as ever. That is the reason why it was arguably the most popular product in our market despite a stiff competition from the Fortuner.

In the Thai market, the new Endeavour comes with the option of either a 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine that produces 170 PS and 405 Nm or a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that makes a mammoth 210 PS and 500 Nm of peak power and torque. The former comes mated to a 6-speed automatic, while the latter comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The vlogger mentions that the engine is smooth and refined and one doesn’t hear the diesel powertrain for the most part. Also, it comes with a 4×2 or a 4×4 drivetrain configuration.

We must mention here that Ford has not left India entirely as it will continue to operate as a niche player. The CBU units of the Mustang will still be imported and sold in India. Also, in the future, we might see the electric version of its popular offerings. But for the official announcement, we will still need to wait a bit longer.
