The American automaker has officially revealed the launch date of the new Aspire facelift.
The 2018 Ford Aspire facelift is going to launch in India on the 4th of October this year!
And that’s not all.
Ford has also started taking pre-bookings of the 2018 Aspire (Read More) ahead of its launch during the first week of October.
The company has announced that prospective buyers can book their Aspire at Ford’s dealerships at a token amount of INR 11,000.
Not only this, but the American automaker has also shared official images of the updated iteration of the Aspire sedan. leaving little to speculate.

In these images, we can clearly see all the updates, both the exterior as well as the interior, that the Aspire receives with this mid-cycle refreshment.
However, the company has been mute about the engine specifications and other small details that this compact sedan will receive with this update.
Nevertheless, let’s first talk about all the cosmetic changes that the new Ford aspire comes with. Up-front, we can clearly see that the compact sedan now comes with an all-new bumper design. The aesthetic modifications, as expected, are in line with what we saw on the Freestyle crossover.

Ford has added chrome elements to several accents on the exteriors, for instance, the Aston Martin-inspired grille and the housing for the fog-lamps. This makes the front end of the compact sedan appear very premium and up-market.
The side profile largely remains the same. You still get the no-nonsense design with a bold shoulder crease that runs from the front of the vehicle to the back. At the rear, the 2018 Ford Aspire comes with restyled tail-lamps. Other than this, it also gets a slightly redesigned bumper. The rest of the aesthetics remain the same as before.
The cabin of the new Ford Aspire is where you see the maximum number of alterations. Though the dashboard design remains the same, it gets an entirely new centre console and centre tunnel layout. The biggest highlight of this mid-cycle update for the Aspire has to be the addition of the 6.5-inch SYNC 3 enabled touchscreen infotainment system.
Other than this, you get a new layout for the controls of the infotainment system, new cubby holes and controls for the automatic climate control unit. Apart from this, rest of the specifics of the new Ford Aspire remains identical tot he model that it will replace.
As mentioned before, Ford is yet to officially disclose the engine specifications for the updated iteration of this compact sedan. However, it is no hidden fact that the company is going to introduce an all-new 1.2-litre, petrol engine with this update in the Aspire. This is the same unit which made its debut in India with the Freestyle CUV. It generates a power output of 94 BHp along with 120 Nm of peak torque.

The diesel engine will remain the same as before. A 1.5-litre TDCi unit generating 99 BHP along with 215 Nm of peak torque. Handling the transmission responsibilities will be a 5-speed manual gearbox on both the variants. There will be an automatic transmission option also offer.
The prices for the new Ford Aspire facelift could go up slightly. However, in order to stay competitive, they will continue to fall in the range of INR 6.5 lakhs to 9.5 lakhs.
