Fiat has launched New Fiat Linea 2013 in Turkey in three trim levels and three different engine options. The new Linea is a facelifted version with improvements on the outside as well as inside. The Turkish version of Linea comes with lots of chrome on the front with new grille and improved front fascia. The location of the rear registration place has also been changed and the car looks slightly different with new front and rear bumpers. The side profile is only slightly different and the rear gets some facelift too. The front and rear bumper are the major changes on the exteriors with large chrome strip running horizontally over the rear bumper, the front bumper also coated in chrome at various places mostly running as horizontal lines on the car.

The interiors have been more than cosmetically uplifted with new and improved looking dual tone fabric upholstery, new dual tone dashboard design with illumination, new AC vents design, a new central console with integrated audio system looks very good in fit and finish, steering also looks quite sporty with stereo mounted controls and dual tone (black silver finish).

The interiors quality and finish is one notch higher than the segment and looks quite plush with equipment loaded on the car. The Indian version of the New 2013 Fiat Linea may get some downgrades in terms of features, but largely we expect that future Indian model of the Linea will inherit most of these uplifts in terms of cosmetic and interior changes.

Linea has not got the deserved sales numbers in India besides being a high value for money offering with great handling and ride quality because of the not-so-premium sales and service network in India in the past under the Fiat-Tata joint venture, but as per the recent announcement, Fiat and Tata have agrees on re-aligning the joint venture wherein Fiat will set up its own company to distribute, sell and service Fiat cars in India through Fiat Exclusive Sales and Service network. This will help Fiat present itself in a more premium way and to provide services with more personalized and premium touch to gain more customers in India.

The New Fiat Linea 2013 is expected to launch in India towards the end of 2012 or early 2013 as the Fiat has refreshed the Linea and Grande Punto in January 2012 only. We expect the new Linea to come with a mild price hike as it seems to have more premium feel to it so the perceived value seems higher compared to the ongoing Fiat Linea 2012 in India.

The first two engines are mated to a 5 speed manual while the 1.6 litre diesel is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission system. The 1.6 litre engine delivers whooping 290 Nm torque at as low as 1500 RPM. the 2013 Linea comes loaded with safety features like ABS, Airbags, ESP.
