As we got some news earlier this week that a new Adventure motorcycle is under works. Reports state that it could very well be the Bajaj Pulsar AS 250.
Bajaj Pulsar AS was the Adventure Series, which the manufacturer launched as modified versions of NS160 and NS200. They were semi-faired bikes, which looked like ADVs.
Poor response for the AS160 and AS200 led to the manufacturer stopping their production. It has been more than 2 years since they have been stopped and is a rare gem to find on the streets.
However, Bajaj has decided to revoke the brand name again. Rushlane reports that a new Bajaj Pulsar AS 250 is under works, which will look completely different from the earlier AS series.

A couple of months, we had also reported that Bajaj is developing a new quarter-litre motorcycle. Only one detail was known that it will be launched in 2020. Recent reports of the Bajaj ADV also state that it will be launched next year.
Reports further state that the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar AS 250 will be loosely based on the Duke 390 Adventure. Like the earlier AS, it would just not stick to the raised suspension and dual-purpose tires.
We do not know if it will be a proper off-roader with spoke wheels, a different chassis and raised height. That will be confirmed as the launch period nears.

Pulsar AS 250 will use a 250cc liquid-cooled engine borrowed from Duke 250. The engine produces 30 BHP and 24 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The same engine on the Pulsar will produce lower power figures and higher torque. Adventure bikes are usually high on torque, helping the bikes to overcome some difficult terrains.
Now since the ADV segment is buzzing, we already know what will it go against. The upcoming Pulsar ADV will go against the likes of Hero Xpulse 200 Twins, which was launch a couple of weeks back.
