The new Honda Amaze will rival the latest 4th-generation Maruti Dzire in our market
The launch of the new 2025 Honda Amaze is only a few hours away as it has been spied in its top-end trim already. Amaze is one of 3 Honda cars on sale in our market. The other two include City and Elevate. Amaze belongs to a competitive market segment which contains the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and the segment leader, Maruti Dzire. In its new-gen avatar, the Japanese auto giant aims to enhance the Amaze’s appeal to fetch new buyers. Let us take a look at the details of the latest model.
New 2025 Honda Amaze Top-End Trim
In the visuals, we are able to get a clear view of the exterior of the new model. At the front, it gets a massive grille with a chrome surround and a thick chrome slab on the top section. Apart from that, there are sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. I particularly like the striking and elegant fog lamps on either side of the sporty bumper. On the sides, the new set of alloy wheels look attractive, while the side profile is devoid of any serious curves. Finally, the tail section wears City-like LED taillamps with a chrome strip connecting the two, a shark fin antenna and a rather plain bumper. I believe these chrome elements will be restricted to the top variant.
On the inside, we have already seen in previous spy images that the layout is modern. This includes a dual-tone dashboard with a specific pattern to give it texture, a chunky and round steering wheel with multimedia controls, a free-standing 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, subtle AC vents, and more. Clearly, Honda has worked hard to design a welcoming cabin which to pamper the occupants. However, there’s no front armrest, sunroof of fabric/leatherette inserts on the door pads. More details about the tech and convenience will emerge at the launch today.
Specs
Even though this is the new-gen model, I don’t suspect any changes to the powertrain and transmission. Hence, it will most likely continue to draw power from a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill which generates a decent 90 PS and 110 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. Note that this is the same engine as the existing Amaze. Also, the current-gen model retails between Rs 7.29 lakh to Rs 10.05 lakh, ex-showroom. You can anticipate a slight premium over these prices for the new avatar.
