The new 2025 Honda Amaze has been launched in India. Note that it belongs to the compact sedan segment in our country. This segment has been impacted after the arrival of compact SUVs. Still, cars like the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor have been able to hold the fort. Note that these are introductory prices which are valid for the next 45 days only. Also, I must mention that this is the most affordable ADAS-equipped vehicle in the country. One will be able to experience ADAS from the ZX trim.

New 2025 Honda Amaze – Exterior Styling

The new compact sedan embodies the latest design philosophy from Honda which we already see on the City and Elevate. As a result, the front fascia comes with sleek LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs which look like they have been borrowed from the City. Apart from that, there is a large rectangular grille between the lights which is surrounded by a chrome frame which is thick at the top and a bit thinner at the bottom. Further elevating its stance are the elegant fog lamp housings on either side of the sporty bumper. Clearly, the front profile is a departure from the outgoing model’s design.

Moving down the sides also reveals some new details. For instance, it now gets a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels with an attractive pattern. I feel these resemble the City too. Furthermore, the black side pillars encapsulate a modern design element we see on many cars. Completing the exterior styling is the prominent and fresh tail section. It gets slim split-LED taillamps, somewhat similar to the City, which are connected by a chrome strip and a shark fin antenna although the bumper is rather subtle. Overall, I really appreciate the modifications to make it look unlike the outgoing version.

On the inside, the new Amaze bears a fresh layout in comparison to the previous-gen car. The new 2025 Honda Amaze carries forward the same engine and transmission options as the outgoing model. Hence, there is an E20-compatible 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill which produces a healthy 90 PS and 110 Nm of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties is either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The official mileage figures are 18.65 km/l and 19.46 km/l, respectively. This is quite impressive. Furthermore, it has a ground clearance of 172 mm and a turning radius of 4.7 m. Hence, owners will be able to tackle uneven road surfaces with confidence.
