The launch is just two days away which is why the new-gen Honda Amaze has started making it to the showroom floors
The Maruti Dzire-rivalling new-gen Honda Amaze has been spotted at dealerships. Note that the launch will take place on December 4, 2024. We recently saw the Dzire incarnate in its 4th-generation avatar. It is the segment leader which consists of the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and Honda Amaze. Hence, it is a competitive space. As a result, carmakers need to keep their products fresh. In any case, the Amaze has been due for a thorough update for a long time now. For now, let us glance at the details here.
New-Gen Honda Amaze Reaches Dealerships
There have been many instances of spy images of the new Amaze. On the outside, there are a few distinct elements to distinguish it completely from the last-gen trim. This includes a sleeker front fascia with dual-barrel LED headlamps, integrated LED DRLs on the top and a thick chrome slab connecting the two. In the centre, we get to witness a large grille area with the Honda logo, while the lower half contains horizontal elements with fog lamps on the extreme edges. The side proportions are decent with a new set of alloys and chrome door handles. At the rear, the City’s influence is evident with a slim split-LED taillamp cluster and a sporty bumper.
On the inside, the overall layout is enough to distinguish it from the current model. It gets a thick 3-spoke steering wheel with multimedia controls. At the centre, there is a free-standing 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit along with a dual-tone dashboard theme with a distinct pattern. Under its hood, you will find the same engine as the current model. This means a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill which generates a decent 90 PS and 110 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. More details regarding the pricing will emerge in a couple of days at the launch.

My View
The compact sedan space is heating up in India. While there are no new products, the carmakers are updating their existing models to keep them fresh and attract new car buyers. It will be interesting to see whether any vehicle will be able to put a dent to the mighty success and demand of the Maruti Dzire. Let us wait for the launch to know the prices and traction.
