This modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is based out of Thailand and its mod job makes it look like a scrambler which makes us want to hit a trail immediately.
Royal Enfield motorcycles are a favorite for motorcycle customizers and all that’s applicable for almost all their models. You will find numerous examples of such modified beauties on our roads but the one we have here in quite special. Royal Enfield has had a runaway success with the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. Both motorcycles are sensational machines and their value for money factor makes them even more lucrative. While the standard 650 twins are amazing anyway, a tastefully modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 does sound very enticing.
Royal Enfield has also managed to expand into international markets like the Europe and Southeast Asia and they have done pretty well there as well, particularly with the new 650 twins. Recently, we have seen some fine examples of renders and mod jobs on the 650 twins from elsewhere but this particular one really caught our eye. This modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is based out of Thailand and has been worked on by custom house named Ranger Korat. Perhaps no one would have thought that this neo-retro motorcycle could be re-imagined as a scrambler.
There are plenty of modifications to talk about here. The front and rear fenders of the motorcycle have been chopped off and coupled with the new long-travel suspension and knobby dual-purpose tires, it gives the Interceptor 650 the real scrambler look. The handle bar too has been raised and there’s a competition 23 visor above the headlights with the Ranger Korat wording. You could also say this motorcycle looks like flat tracker from certain angles. Speaking of the headlamps, they are twin units wrapped in a casing.

The paint job on the motorcycle also works really well. The bright yellow paint on the fuel tank, top-section of the engine, the Royal Enfield lettering on the engine casing, the exhaust tip and the headlamp surround, all contrast very well with the black of the motorcycle. The auxiliary lights have been mounted on the motorcycle crash guard and the compact rear section does not come with any turn indicators or grab rails but just a tiny rear tail lamp. The seat has also been changed for an aftermarket option. There’s also a massive bash plate to protect the engine from rocks when you take on a trail.

There does not seem to be any mechanical changes to the engine of this modified Interceptor 650. However, the keen eye in you must have noticed that this Interceptor 650 comes with a single-sided up-swept exhaust instead of the dual-exhaust pipes seen on the stock motorcycle. We are not very sure if that has made any difference to the performance of the motorcycle, but in stock form, the Interceptor 650 produces 47hp and 52Nm of torque from is 648cc parallel-twin engine. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbozx and it also gets dual-channel ABS with a slip assist clutch as well. This modified Interceptor 650 sure does leave us wanting to hit a trail.
