This modified Maruti Suzuki Baleno hails from Kerala, and apart from its very tasteful exterior modifications, it aslo gets performance upgrades and more equipment on the inside.
We have been reporting a lot about modified cars these days and we discovered that the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has become a great subject of modification in recent times. In fact, it is the best selling model in the premium hatchback segment and its popularity does not seem to go down any time soon. Its a good looking car with a frugal engine and has good space on the inside and is decently equipped as well – all things that make a best-selling product in India. But here we have a modified Maruti Suzuki Baleno that stands out of them all.
This modified Maruti Suzuki Baleno hails from Kerala, a state that is known to have a good car culture. Unlike its smaller sibling – the Swift – the Baleno doesn’t really have a sporty character. However, this particular Baleno is sure to turn some heads and shouts sportiness in its entire appeal. But this Baleno is not just about its looks but it also packs some good enough performance upgrades as well.
But first, we really admire the vinyls on this car. The dual-paint scheme with the stripes on the side profile look stunning, particularly from its side profile. You already know its sporty intentions. There are other visual modifications as well. That includes a mild front splitter and a new blacked out radiator grille with a blacked out Suzuki badge as well. The car also wears really funky looking 17-inch 9J alloy wheels which are shod with wider and stickier 215/45 section tires.

Even the ORVMs are blacked out and the windows get a black tint. At the rear, this modified Baleno gets smoked out tail lamps, OEM-spec roof spoiler and again, a black painted Suzuki badge. Lastly, the race number decals on the front doors complete the sportiness quotient. But that’s about the visual changes. Mechanically the modified Baleno comes equipped with a 1.3L DDiS diesel engine that produces 75bhp and 190Nm of torque in stock form. However, this engine has been re-tuned by Pete’s and it now produces 95bhp and 220Nm of peak torque.

That’s a significant boost in performance, enough to put it ahead of other crop if cars in this segment. The interiors have also been modified in this Baleno. To make it more premium, the car comes equipped with high-end audio system that comprises a Kicker subwoofer, Hertz HCP-4 4 Channel Amp, Sony Xplode 2 Channel Amp, Pioneer Headunit, Infinity front door components and JBL rear door components. While we are not entirely sure about the interior modifications, we definitely find the exterior customization very tasteful.
