This modified Maruti Jimny 5-door gets a massive lift kit which alters its road presence. Jimny is a mighty popular off-roading vehicle. In fact, it commands immense respect among the off-roading communities around the globe. In India, it is available in a practical 5-door iteration for the first time in its lifecycle. Being a true off-roading machine, owners often take it to the aftermarket modification houses to perform extensive customizations to make it an adventure monster. Let us glance at the details of all the modifications on this lightweight off-roader.
Modified Maruti Jimny with Lift Kit
The specifics of this case emerge from BRH Expeditions on YouTube. The host has this monster Jimny alongside the stock model. It is fascinating to see the differences between the two. Basically, every mechanical aspect of this Jimny has been tweaked, modified or replaced. For instance, it gets a new differential lock setup along with rugged iron bars to protect the underbelly of the SUV. Apart from that, there is new LED lighting all across the body. At the front, it even gets a new hood scoop and a snorkel to enhance its water-wading capabilities. On the sides, there are solid rock sliders to protect the body during extreme off-roading excursions.
The rear section has been altered completely. In fact, the rear seats have been eliminated and the SUV gets a compartment which contains fuel tank and air compressor. Due to the additional components underneath like a sway bar, Lamda differential locks, tweaked suspension setup with a 9-inch lift kit, off-roading focused 16-inch tyres and more, the entire stance of the SUV is fresh and aggressive. Even the front and rear bumpers and fenders ooze ruggedness. The host even mentions that it took a whopping Rs 24 lakh for all the modifications on this Jimny. That is simply mind-boggling.
My View
Now I have come across innumerable instances of people going for extreme aftermarket car modifications. In all honesty, this has to be among the best and most thorough customizations I have seen. The owner has ensured that he/she leaves no stone unturned to create a one-of-a-kind iteration of the Jimny. Interestingly, the vlogger says that there is still some work left on this Jimny. It will be intriguing to see how the final product looks after all customizations are complete. I shall bring the updated version for our readers once it arrives.
