This sinister looking modified 2020 Isuzu D-max V-Cross is from Thailand and its satin black paint job with those wheels have made us weak on our knees.
India does not have much of a vibrant pickup truck culture and we are also limited by options to really materialize on that. The only notable pickup truck that you can find in the country is the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. Still, the Isuzu D-Max hasn’t really had much of a commercial success in India. Its only popular among off-road enthusiasts and rightfully so. However, here we have a modified Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and its the kind of stuff from your dreams. We bet you’d drool over pickup trucks too if you had one of these.
This 2020 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has been modified by Dam Auto Car, based in Thailand. South Asian countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines have a rich culture of pickup trucks and constitute a major portion of the sales volume in such countries. Brands like Ford, Toyota and Isuzu have big presence in these countries with their pickup trucks. Also, with great ability to be modified and personalized, these gain all the more popularity.
Coming pack to this modified V-Cross, it has received a ton of performance upgrades for off-roading purposes. The upper control arm and front drive shaft along with the stabiliser ball joint are from Bangkok-based Sun 4×4 aftermarket suspension system. Additionally, the Fox 2.0 Performance Series Monotube front shock and 10-step Fox 2.0 rear shock are also part of the custom package.

The modification does not do much to the styling of the truck, except for those wheels of course. However, it gets a complete satin black exterior paint finish which gives the pickup truck its crazy sinister look. The wheels and tyres are from Custom Wheel Thailand while it also gets two-inch front lift and two-inch rear lift from Pro Comp suspension systems. It is riding on H113 rims. Other than that, the styling has been is identical to the stock car with the massive front grille, U-shaped LED DRLs, the vertically placed fog lamps and underbody skid plate protection as well. It is just the wheels and the stain black finish that gives this truck all its visual appeal.

In the international market, the Isuzu D-max V-Cross is either powered by a 1.9L diesel engine or a 3.0L diesel engine. The former produces 150bhp and 350Nm of torque while the latter produces 190bhp and 450Nm of torque. This particular V-Cross has not received any modifications to its engine. Isuzu introduced the new generation V-Cross internationally last year but unfortunately there’s no news of it coming to India any time soon. Until then, you can feast your eyes on this monster.
