The Mitsubishi Outlander can now be had for a price of Rs. 26.93 lakhs and along with this, Mitsubishi has added a few new features as well.
Mitsubishi has given the 2019 Outlander a massive price cut in India. The SUV now costs Rs 26.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). When the Outlander facelift was launched in India, it costed Rs. 31.95 lakhs, (ex-showroom, Delhi). That’s a massive drop down of over Rs 5 lakhs. But its not just the price cut, Mitsubishi has also updated the SUV with a few new features like a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which now comes equipped with Android Auto MirrorLink.
The Outlander is however a little dated model now and it still misses out on a few features that are hugely essential these days. That includes navigation, Apple CarPlay, or even rear AC vents. In its prime days though, the Outlander was a very well equipped SUV and it continues with those features like Dual-Zone Fully automatic climate control, keyless entry with engine push button start/stop function, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and power tilt and sliding sunroof with anti-trapping function. The SUV also offers rain-sensing wiper, central door locking system, power window driver’s auto function, and electronic power steering.
The Outlander is very well equipped on the safety front as well. It gets 7 Airbags (Driver / Passenger / Side-2 / Curtain-2 / Knee-1), ABS + EBD, Active Stability Control (ASC), Hill Start Assist(HSA), Auto Headlamps, Immobilizer, Security alarm system, Brake assist system, childproof, and front & rear impact bar.
Just like it is quite well equipped on the interiors, Mitsubishi had given the Outlander a very good equipment list on the exterior as well. It got features like LED headlamp with auto levelling function, auto light control, LED daytime running lamps, LED front fog lamp with chrome bezels, LED taillamps with combination lights and high-mounted stop lamp. The SUV comes with a set of 16-inch alloy wheels which will get an ornament design and are standard.

The Mitsubishi Outlander is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC petrol engine that produces 165 bhp and 222 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed CVT with Multi-Select 4WD system and comes with paddle-shifters. Not a matter of concern for an SUV, but the Outlander does the 0-100 kph sprint in 11.1 seconds.

The price cut of over Rs. 5 lakhs to now cost Rs. 26.93 lakhs, the Outlander undercuts most full-size SUVs like the Ford Endeavour Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Honda CR-V. This will also help the Outlander clear out its SB-4 stock. Lastly, it must be mentioned that Mitsubishi still hasn’t announced if the Outlander and Pajero Sport will be updated to comply with the BS-6 emission norms.
