To give you a little history lesson as to why Mini calls this a Paddy Hopkirk Edition, we have to go back to the year 1964. Mini’s driver Patrick ”Paddy” Hopkirk led the brand to victory at the Monte Carlo Rally. This was a significant milestone in the history of Mini’s legacy. Hence, it is only natural to pay tribute to the man himself in the form of a limited edition variant of the Mini Cooper S. To make it even more special, Mini will only manufacture 15 units of these. Let us dive into the details of the Mini Paddy Hopkirk Edition!

Mini Paddy Hopkirk Edition – Exterior and Interior
The new Paddy Edition will be specific in terms of styling to mark the uniqueness of the occasion. The exterior includes a dual-tone paint scheme with Red painted body and White painted roof. The front, side and rear pillars are blacked out accentuating the sporty element of the car, along with black wing mirrors. But what is the most unique element on the exterior is the white racing stripe hosting Hopkirk’s signature (also on the tailgate) and the characters ”33EJB”. This signifies the number plate of the 1964 Monte Carlo rally winning Mini. The doors are marked by no. 37, which was obviously the number of Hopkirk’s car.
