Mini is going to makes is official entry to Indian market in January 2012 at the Auto Expo 2012 in India. Owned by BMW, Mini is a very well known British car brand which is known for its huge fan following and iconic presence. Top officials of BMW have already confirmed the launch of Mini Car Brand in India in September 2011, but it was not revealed what all car model will make it to Indian market. Recently, in an interaction with media, BMW India President, Dr. Andreas Schaaf revealed that for Indian market, the first three Mini cars to be launches will be – Three Door Mini Cooper Hatchback, the Mini Cooper Convertible and Mini Countryman SUV. These cars will start at a price point of about Rs. 25 Lakhs in India. The Mini brand is for marking its iconic presence in Indian market rather than exploring for a mass market opportunity.
Mini Cooper 3 Door Hatchback

Mini Cooper 3 door model hatchback is powered by a 1.4 Litre MPFI Petrol engine with peak power of 95 BHP. There is a diesel powered Mini also called the Cooper D which is powered by a larger displacement 1.6 Litre CRDI Diesel engine with peak power output of 110 BHP.
Mini Cooper Convertible

The Convertible model of the same 3 door Cooper is powered by a more powerful and sporty Petrol engine with 118 BHP of power. It id powered by a 1.6 litre Petrol motor for a better performance.
Mini Countryman SUV

The Mini Countryman SUV is a compact sports vehicle powered by 1.6 litre even more powerful engine with 120 BHP of peak power. The Countryman is larger in dimensions, has 5 doors and much more interior space compared to the compact Mini Cooper range.
