- Milind Soman to ride Ather 450X in second edition of Green Ride 2.0
- The initiative aims to encourage people to adopt EVs for curbing pollution
Fitness icon Milind Soman will participate in Green Ride 2.0, an initiative that aims to encourage people to cur air pollution through usage of EVs. In line with this, the actor will ride an Ather 450X from Bengaluru to Mangalore.

Milind Sonan Previously Participated in First Edition of Green Ride
The actor has earlier participated in the first edition of Green Ride, wherein he rode a bicycle for 1,000 km from Mumbai to Delhi. Milind cycled 150 km a day to spread awareness on usage of cleaner fuel and adopting a healthy lifestyle to tackle pollution.
Speaking on the 2nd edition of Green Ride, Fitness icon Milind Soman said, ”My message to people is simple – all the progress and advancement that we have achieved as a society is futile if we do not have pure air to breathe. If each one of us makes a change in our day-to-day lives – walk/ cycle short distances instead of drive, plant a sapling, reuse/recycle etc. – we will collectively be able to make a significant difference to our environment. My experience last year on the first Green Ride was overwhelming, with the enthusiasm and interest shown by people all through the journey still fresh in my memory. And I am eagerly looking forward to this year’s Ride as we spread the message of pursuing a healthy and more sustainable existence.”
Green Ride 2.0
The Green Ride 2.0 started on December 19 and will complete on December 26. It will be held over a total distance of more than 1,400 km. It will cover 10 cities in 8 days. These include – Mumbai, Pune, Karad, Kolhapur, Belgaon, Shegaon, Hirebennur, Tumkuru, Mysore, Mangalore. Milind Soman, who will be seen riding the Ather 450X, will visit solar energy plants and engage with the local NGOs dedicated to the cause of sustainable environment.
