Last year, the famous singer gifted a used Mercedes-Benz GLE to his childhood friend of 30 years.

As a gesture of appreciation, Mika Singh gifts a Mercedes-Benz ML250 to his lead singer, Nikki Singh. Note that this is a used car. Mika Singh is famous for gifting used luxury cars to his friends and colleagues. He is one of the biggest singers in the country. He mostly sings Punjabi and party songs. In essence, his songs are what you would hear a lot on occasions where dancing is involved. Apart from that, he was also a part of the reality TV show, Swayamvar – Mika Di Vohti a couple of years ago. His large-hearted nature is not a secret as he keeps gifting expensive things to people frequently.

The luxury SUV was all the rage in the early 2010s. In fact, it was launched in the Indian market in 2012 and became an instant success. Many celebrities from all walks of life ended up purchasing this imposing SUV. As a result, we see innumerable deals on this luxury SUV in the used car market. At present, you could get this car for anywhere between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. That might look enticing for the SUV which originally retailed for around Rs 45 lakh almost a decade ago.

This vehicle has a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine which produces a decent 204 hp and 500 Nm of peak power and torque. Complimenting this mill is a 7-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. This combination results in impressive performance and off-roading capabilities. It is no longer on sale. Back in the day, its prime rivals were the BMW X5 and Audi Q7. Apart from this, he gifted a used Mercedes-Benz GLE to his childhood friend, Kanwajeet Singh, last year. Hence, this is nothing new for him.

Our View

I would like to highlight the biggest challenge with used luxury cars. They might look appealing in terms of price, but the maintenance could offset all that. We know that luxury cars have incredibly high maintenance, repair and ownership costs. In fact, the biggest issue with a 12-year-old vehicle would be the availability of spare parts. Hence, you must keep these aspects in mind. It is a common trap that people often fall into in a bid to fulfil their childhood dream of owning a luxury car. I would caution you to be wary of this aspect.
