MG Hector has crossed 10,000 bookings and the waiting period soars as high to 4 months for some trims.
MG Motors recently launched their first product, Hector with an introductory price of Rs 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The announcement of prices was such that it created quite a stir with the competition since the car is loaded with features and is the first connected car in its segment. Now, the popularity of MG Hector is such that the waiting period for the SUV stands at 3-4 months.
The bookings for MG Hector commenced earlier this month and reports suggested that the dealerships were unofficially taking bookings for the same before. You can either book via online through their website or through the dealers.
MG Hector is available in four trims and comes in three engine options. The petrol hybrid, turbocharged petrol and an FCA sourced diesel engine. Out of the three, only petrol motor gets an automatic and this trim of MG Hector sees a longer waiting period of 4 months. The diesel engine and the petrol hybrid comes with a 6-speed manual transmission as of now.

MG Hector is loaded with features to the brim. It gets some first in class features like a large 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It gets i-SMART technology within which helps you check your vehicle status, make emergency calls, real-time navigation and several other features.
The unit can perform of about 90+ voice commands like operating the sunroof, setting HVAC controls, volume controls, playing a favourite radio station, changing tracks, window functions, opening the map, opening the navigation, searching destinations, making calls and a lot more. The unit comes preloaded with Gaana app.
Full LED lighting, Ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, power adjustable front seats, front parking sensors, powered tailgate and more. Some first-in-segment safety features for the same includes 3-point seatbelt, Rear Disc Brakes, ESP with traction control, Hill Hold Control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, 7-airbags, auto headlamps, follow-me-home headlamps, rain sensing wipers and more.

MG Hector is available in four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. The colour options include Candy White, Aurora Silver, Burgundy Red, Starry Black and Coloured Glaze Red.
The base price of MG Hector starts at Rs 12.18 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and Kia Seltos. Well, the SUV has achieved 10,000 bookings till now gets a soaring waiting period of up to 4 months.
