The MG Hector brings a fresh new flavor to the mid-size SUV segment. It is equipped with cutting edge technology and looks quite the part too. MG Motors claims the Hector to be India’s first internet car as it comes with the next-gen iSMART technology which uses a sim card to access the internet and deliver safer, connected and fun experiences to the driver/passenger. It boasts of the segment-largest 10.4-inch vertically stacked touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. It also comes with Over the Air (OTA) technology which allow customers to update software, features, themes, and infotainment content.
The MG Hector also has a very unique design language, definitely something we haven’t seen in this space before. The face is dominated by a large chrome-laden hexagonal grille with dual headlamp setup. There are slim LED DRLs on the top with the main headlamp and fog lamp cluster down below on the bumper. At the rear, the two LED tail lamps are connected by a thin light strip in between them and it looks rather cool.
