Now, the exact reason for this is unknown. But it is entirely possible that the driver had left the SUV in neutral gear and had not engaged the handbrake. As a result, just by a small push by the biker, the SUV was set in motion. We are not sure about the injuries to the biker who just crossed from there. We hope that the SUV didn’t end up hitting him on its way down the slope. The details about whose fault it was will only be ascertained after the investigation completes its course.

Importance of Handbrake
The need to use a handbrake while parking is highlighted by this post. It is advised that if you park your vehicle uphill, you should engage the parking brake and put the car in first gear. Similarly, if you park the vehicle downhill, you must engage the handbrake and put the car in reverse gear. In both scenarios, the handbrake and gear will be able to hold the car in position. Even if someone accidentally comes in contact with it, it won’t drive away.
