Details about the MG Hector Plus have been revealed officially. It will get two seating options, new colours, more features and mild styling upgrades.
MG has revealed the Hector Plus officially as it has put out a teaser. In the video, you can see the new colour option and the features that are additionally offered. The bookings have unofficially opened across dealerships and the SUV has also entered the production line at MG’s Halol plant. The launch is mostly scheduled to happen in next month.
We can now confirm that MG Hector Plus will come with the option of a 6-seater and a 7-seater. The 6-seater variant will have individual captain seats for all the three rows. The 7-seater variants will come with a three-seater bench on the third row. We expect all the four variants to come with these two seating options.

Some styling tweaks will include revisions to the headlamps, tail lamps and DRLs. You will also get a different front grille, new front and rear bumper with a new skid plate. Additionally, it will be available in this Blue colour which is not seen on the Hector. So you have all the colours of Hector and this new option too.
The latest feature added will be hands free tailgate access. That means you can open the boot by just swiping your leg under the bumper. A sensor has been attached under the bumper and will automatically open the boot. Rest of all the features will be carried over from the 5-seater Hector.
Engine options will remain the same 1.5 Litre turbo petrol engine and 2.0 Litre FCA-sourced turbo diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine will additionally get a mild-hybrid system making it offer three engine options. The petrol engine, in both the versions, produces 143 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque.

MG hector Plus will come with the same panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, i-Smart internet car technology, automatic headlamps, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, six airbags and a 360-degree camera. Expect it to demand a hike of Rs 1 Lakh over the variants of Hector. The 5-seater Hector has priced from Rs 12.73 Lakhs up to Rs 17.72 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
