MG Motors has commenced the deliveries of Hector Plus starting last week itself. The 6-seater SUV is priced from Rs 13.5 Lakhs up to Rs 18.54 Lakhs.
Just last week, MG launched its third car for India, the Hector Plus. Based on the regular Hector, it gets an additional seat which is more practical. We have confirmed news that MG is also planning for a 7-seater version of it, however, it will take some time. Now, we can also confirm that the deliveries of the 6-seater Hector Plus have also commenced last week itself.
The first MG Hector Plus was delivered on 17th July itself, just four days after the launch. The bookings commenced a couple of weeks prior to the launch. The deliveries for sure, have started in most of the metro cities. The prices start off at Rs 13.5 Lakhs going up to Rs 18.54 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). In comparison to the Hector, the Plus is costlier by up to Rs 65,000. Here is the detailed variant wise list:

Hector Plus continues to come in all three engine and gearbox options. You get the 143 PS producing 1.5 Litre turbo petrol engine and the 170 PS producing 2.0 Litre turbo diesel engine. Even the 1.5 Litre petrol-hybrid option has been retained here. All the three engines get a 6-speed MT as standard with the exception of turbo petrol engine getting a DCT as an option.
Hector Plus gets three rows and individual captain seats for all rows. The dimensions have slightly increased, as in, it is a bit longer. Further, MG has jazzed up the Plus with some cosmetic upgrades. That include refreshed front and rear bumpers, the ChitChat voice assist function, new LED headlamps, new LED DRLs and a refreshed front grille as well. Inside the cabin, you get a different upholstery material and design as well.
MG Hector Plus now comes as a strong competitor to Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova Crysta and the upcoming Tata Gravitas. XUV500 only gets a diesel engine now, as its new generation is scheduled to come next year. The prices of Innova are much higher, by atleast 6 Lakhs. Coming to the last option, Tata will be launching Gravitas by the end of this year, which will come in the same price range.
