In the latest incident, an MG Hector SUV hits a pole after jumping the divider. Hector is a mid-size SUV that gained popularity in our market for being the first internet-enabled SUV. People have bought it for the latest tech features and imposing road presence due to attractive exterior styling. However, after the arrival of SUVs like the new Mahindra Scorpio and XUV700, the sales of the Hector have taken a hit. Nevertheless, it continues to sell in decent numbers along with its sibling, the Astor.

MG Hector Hits Pole
This incident has been captured in a post by zamrookh on Instagram. As per the caption of the post, this crash has been reported from Vishala Circle in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In the visuals, a white Hector is seen almost destroyed from the front left side. It looks like the impact occurred at a high speed. Resultantly, the SUV jumped the divider and hit the pole on the other side. According to the information in the post, no one was seriously injured in this crash. That is quite impressive.

Prevent Overspeeding
While there are no official details available regarding this unfortunate event, it looks like this is a consequence of overspeeding. It continues to be the most common cause of road accidents in our country. We lose thousands of lives each year due to road accidents. We must, therefore, take a pledge to prevent overspeeding at all costs and respect and follow traffic rules to become responsible drivers and make our roads safe.
